We have just arrived at our cabin in Maine. This is the time of year when DH and I come to our little cabin in the deep woods and drop off the radar of our daily lives in Florida. It is what puts the occasional craziness of the rest of the year in perspective for us. Here, we listen to the loons calling on the lake, kayak, fish, work in our garden, hang with family, and I work on my quilts!

Your cabin is our dream home! We absolutely love coming up to Maine every year - I actually lived way up north of Maine (Loring AFB) for 7 years many years ago. Tell those loons I'll be anxious to hear them calling my name LOL! Oh... I I can't wait to see your new creation!

Oh Pam... forgot to ask - have you ever been to Keepsake Quilts in Center Harbor? Not sure how far you are from there but it is worth every mile driven!

Keep a watch out your door! DH has a friend from FL who married a MAer. They summer at her home in...hmmm...don't remember the town, but I think it is east of Augusta on the west shore of that inlet. BTW, the recipe is for stuffed zucchini - not the blossoms.
OK Sherry, I guess you can tell I not only can't cook, now it's official, I don't even read recipies! :0 But I DO like to eat! And I can wash a mean dish.
One thing is for certain, there is no shortage of water around here. Even the littlest towns sometimes have 3 or 4 lakes in them. And the Maine Coast is gorgeous too. We are heading over tomorrow to a botanical garden in Boothbay Harbor.
