Everyone is on the mend, at our house! Spooky is back outside, and her fur is growing back too.

Michael had his prostate removed a week ago yesterday. He is home and working in the garden a little bit every day. Has his follow up with the doctor tomorrow. We expect a full recovery. He had the robotic Da Vinci surgery. Amazing what our bodies can go through and heal from! My Dad is also home from rehab, and doing well. So, we are all thinking good thoughts of Spring and new beginnings. The garden is producing mass quantities of vegetables. We have been supplying the neighborhood with tomatoes, lettuce, eggplant, bok choy, green beans, peppers and peas. We're eating good in the neighborhood.

I recently quilted this quilt for a lady who collected blocks and pieced them together to form beautiful primitive quilts that she is auctioning off for breast cancer. My photo of the entire quilt did not turn out well, it was kind of blurry, but I quilted an all over pattern of stars and loops that complemented the design. Her website is http://primitivepiecesbylynda.com/. The quilts are under the back porch tab.

I've also been really LOVING my weekly surface design class at the Vero Beach Art Museum. I made some ATC's, and this neat little folder to display them in.

I'm so glad to hear about your family getting better. Our prayers are being answered.
The garden looks so inviting!
Guess what...I found the container with the Brandywine seeds! I'll be sending you some right away. The color of the tomato is just as pretty as the Amana!
Enjoy all those veggies, they are sure to help the healing!

....The quilt is sure pretty! I'm sure it will do good at the charity event.
....I'm intrigued with the surface design! I have to take a look at your pictures again, you did something like artistic fabric?

Sending Caring Thoughts!

I'm so glad to hear your dad is much better. Your hubby looks like he really enjoys the garden and you would never know he just had surgery by the photo.

Surface design looks interesting. Now you'll have to explain it to us!

The story I am writing on my blog goes quilt blocks for the library childrens summer reading. The subject is learning to get along with others..the bear family, the humans..I know where I'm going with the story, just have to get the chapters in order.

Pam, about the Cranes...I love your Peace quilt. I don't think I could ever make a full sized one, but I am enjoying yours.

For my little ones, 3 x 4 1/2 inches, I got the pattern on line. I'm going to keep trying making them. I might even try a larger one. I expect to get better at it as I go along.

I can't wait to see yours finished. It's your quilt that got me looking for a little pattern.

Beautiful quilts. Love the Salt Water Taffy fabrics!

And the peas! Oh my. I haven't had fresh English/sweet peas in years and years. First husband and I started on a garden fairly early. Even with him being a truck driver, he'd get the ground broken up and I'd run the tiller. Rows were terribly crooked because I just "held on for the ride," LOL but the garden vegetables didn't care!

I can't get 2nd husband started early enough for even a decent growing season. Sigh.

I am on benadryl for the vertigo...when I remember to take it. ;o)
